This document describes the warranty terms for all ViewSonic AIO PC products.

 


Discussion

WHAT WARRANTY COVERS:

ViewSonic warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, ViewSonic will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product with a similar product. Replacement Product or parts may include remanufactured or refurbished parts or components.

HOW LONG IS WARRANTY EFFECTIVE?

ALL-IN-ONE PC

All ViewSonic All- in –One PC carries:

  1. One (1) year limited onsite warranty for Parts, Standard Accessories, Inspection, and Labor excluding Software and operating System.

Please Note:

  1. Warranty of those Products that are not mentioned above will conform to the agreement between ViewSonic and the customer as per agreed and signed written agreement.
  2. Free On-Site Service warranty is offered only within the municipal limits of the city. Any special charge such as Octroi, Inter-State tax, Surcharge, Duties, and/or the like shall be borne by the Customer.
  3. Response time of Remote locations will vary as per the location and logistic circumstances
  4. Service Support will be carried out in accordance with ViewSonic India`s policy guidelines.

WHAT WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER?

  1. Any product, on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
  2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
    1. Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature.
    2. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by ViewSonic.
    3. Any damage of the product due to transportation.
    4. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations / failure or interference caused due to any non compatible hardware / software.
  3. Removal, installation, and set-up service charges.
  4. Special charges such as Octroi, inter -state tax, surcharge, duties, any special municipal tax, and/or the like.

To obtain warranty service, you will be required to provide the following at the time of registering a complaint:

  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Original & Dated sales slip
  4. Serial number of the product and
  5. A description of the problem.

LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES:

There are no warranties, express or implied, which extend beyond the description mentioned above including the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES:

ViewSonic's liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the product. Viewsonic shall not be liable for:

  1. Damage to any other property caused by the defect in the product, damages caused due to inconvenience, loss arising due to non functionality of the product, loss of time, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of business relationships, or other commercial loss
  2. Any other damages, whether incidental, consequential or otherwise.
  3. Any claim against the customer by any other party.

NON-WARRANTY FOR SOFTWARE AND ELECTRONIC DATA

  1. The software if not pre-installed and unless specified, is not covered within the Product's warranty. ViewSonic will not be responsible for any damage arising due to installation of any additional software by the customer leading to any unforeseen breakdown / damage.
  2. ViewSonic will not be responsible for any loss of data under any circumstance. Customers are advised to back up all data on an alternate resource before sending the product for service.
  3. Any software that accompanies ViewSonic Product is on an "as is" basis. ViewSonic does not warrant the operation of any software programs pre-loaded or installed in its PC products.

UPGRADES / ACCESSORIES AND OUT OF WARRANTY SERVICES

ViewSonic India`s Service Center may assist customers with upgrades, accessories and Out Of Warranty services on a chargeable basis upon customer’s request. Customers requiring such services may contact ViewSonic India hotline number for more information. Please note that ViewSonic India does not take any responsibility for any of the above unless specified in the Warranty statement.

EFFECT OF STATE LAW:

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties and/or do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

LIFE SUPPORT:

ViewSonic does not recommend the use of its products for any life support assistance or medical care where failure of its product could result in failure of or reduce effectiveness of the life support equipment for patient care.
